A free pattern for crochet Christmas gifts with a twist: a chubby amigurumi penguin sitting on a wrapped present. The penguin wears a red knit beanie with a white pom-pom, rosy cheeks and a little orange beak, and the green box has a gold ribbon band and bow. It is worked in the round in single crochet with DK yarn and a 2.5 mm hook, with safety or embroidered eyes, and stands about 14 cm (5.4 in) tall.
