This free crochet cow pattern makes a little Holstein calf amigurumi that sits with its legs out and wears a gold bell on a red collar. The amigurumi cow is white with black patches on the forehead, back and hips, black floppy ears with pink insides, small cream horns and a big pink muzzle with embroidered nostrils and a smile. It is worked in the round in single crochet with DK yarn and a 2.5 mm hook and ends up about 14 cm (5.5 in) tall, with 10-12 mm safety eyes and the legs, ears, horns, tail and collar sewn on. Follow it row by row with stitch counts for every color change and turn the interactive 3D model to see where each piece goes.

1 sc ≈ 4 mm wide, 1 round ≈ 3.6 mm tall (10 cm ≈ 25 sc × 28 rounds); yarn about 1.9 mm thick. The gauge sets the size of the toy; crochet tightly so the stuffing does not show.
Continuous spiral rounds. Don't join. Move a stitch marker up every round.
Safety eyes and noses go in before the piece is stuffed and closed (see the pieces above); embroidery is easier before the piece is sewn on.
