Safety eyes and noses go in before the piece is stuffed and closed (see the pieces above); embroidery is easier before the piece is sewn on.

• Safety eyes with a printed glint 10 mm (on the head): between rounds 15 and 16, 8 st apart (count along round 15: about 4.2 st each side of the centre front line).
• Embroidery in dark brown thread (on the head), straight stitches through: (in round 18, 1.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's right ) → (in round 19, 1 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's right ) → (between rounds 19 and 20, 0.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's right ) → (between rounds 19 and 20, on the centre front line ) → (between rounds 19 and 20, 0.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (in round 19, 1 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (in round 18, 1.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ).
• Blush about 11 mm, dry pastel or blush (on the head, both sides): between rounds 17 and 18, 5.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left . Colour pink.
• Fringe (on the head): cut 16 pieces of yarn (copper) about 34 mm long; fold each in half and attach with a lark's head knot (pull through a stitch with the hook) along in round 11, 7 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's right -> between rounds 11 and 12, 3.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's right -> in round 12, on the centre front line -> between rounds 11 and 12, 3.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left -> in round 11, 7 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left , evenly spaced. Trim to about 7 mm.
• Satin stitch (on the body (tunic)): in gold thread, a oval about 8 mm wide and 6 mm tall, horizontal stitches; centred in round 12, on the centre front line.
• Satin stitch (on the head) (2, symmetric: the toy's left side is described, the right is its mirror image): in cinnamon thread, a oval about 1.8 mm wide and 1.6 mm tall, horizontal stitches; centred in round 17, 5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left .
• Satin stitch (on the head) (2, symmetric: the toy's left side is described, the right is its mirror image): in cinnamon thread, a oval about 1.8 mm wide and 1.6 mm tall, horizontal stitches; centred in round 18, 5.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left .
