A free crochet bird pattern for a round little bluebird with a peach chest, perched on a short brown branch with a green leaf. The amigurumi bluebird has bright blue feathers, darker blue wings and tail, a tiny charcoal beak, shiny eyes and pink cheeks, and its little feet grip the branch. It is about 8 cm (3 in) tall in DK yarn with a 2.5 mm hook: the body is one piece worked in the round in single crochet with the chest colour changes, and the wings, tail, two branch halves, leaf and 12 mm safety eyes are added. Follow the row-by-row pattern with stitch counts and use the interactive 3D model to check every piece.

1 sc ≈ 4 mm wide, 1 round ≈ 3.6 mm tall (10 cm ≈ 25 sc × 28 rounds); yarn about 1.9 mm thick. The gauge sets the size of the toy; crochet tightly so the stuffing does not show.
Continuous spiral rounds. Don't join. Move a stitch marker up every round.
Safety eyes and noses go in before the piece is stuffed and closed (see the pieces above); embroidery is easier before the piece is sewn on.
