Safety eyes and noses go in before the piece is stuffed and closed (see the pieces above); embroidery is easier before the piece is sewn on.

• Safety eyes with a printed glint 10 mm (on the head): in round 14, 9 st apart (count along round 14: about 4.5 st each side of the centre front line).
• Strap (on the body) (2, symmetric: the toy's left side is described, the right is its mirror image): with denim, ch 24 (≈ 7.1 cm); for a firmer strap sl st back along it. Sew it along (between rounds 18 and 19, 2 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (between rounds 19 and 20, 5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (between rounds 18 and 19, 10 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (between rounds 13 and 14, 4 st from the centre back line, toward the toy's left), catching it every 2–3 ch.
• Satin stitch (on the head): in nose thread, a triangle about 6 mm wide and 4.2 mm tall, horizontal stitches; centred between rounds 15 and 16, on the centre front line .
• Embroidery in cocoa thread (on the head), straight stitches through: (in round 16, on the centre front line ) → (in round 17, on the centre front line ).
• Embroidery in cocoa thread (on the head) (2, symmetric: the toy's left side is described, the right is its mirror image), straight stitches through: (in round 17, on the centre front line ) → (between rounds 17 and 18, 1 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ) → (in round 17, 1.5 st from the centre front line, toward the toy's left ).
