A free crochet fish pattern for a chubby clownfish with big shiny eyes and a little round open mouth. This amigurumi clownfish is bright orange with three white bands outlined in black, and every fin, from the round dorsal fin to the fan tail, has a crisp black edge. The body is worked in the round in single crochet from the tail to the face with the stripes as color changes, the fins are small lightly stuffed pieces sewn on, and with DK yarn, a 2.5 mm hook and 14 mm safety eyes it is about 9 cm (3.5 in) tall. Follow it round by round with stitch counts and turn the interactive 3D model to see where every fin goes.

1 sc ≈ 4 mm wide, 1 round ≈ 3.6 mm tall (10 cm ≈ 25 sc × 28 rounds); yarn about 1.9 mm thick. The gauge sets the size of the toy; crochet tightly so the stuffing does not show.
Continuous spiral rounds. Don't join. Move a stitch marker up every round.
Safety eyes and noses go in before the piece is stuffed and closed (see the pieces above); embroidery is easier before the piece is sewn on.
